All Due Electricity
By Indi Riverflow | January 5, 2012
Listening for visions crying to be heard
It’s a mission measured in melody
Wholeness, integrity and clarity
Does it glimmer shimmer in the mist
Evoking passion like a teenager’s kiss?
Will it strike the soul like a typewriter key
From the first half of the last century?
Will the syllables hold what I meant to convey?
Does it make any sense if I put it this way?
Will anyone care what I have to say
In the peculiar mood I am lost in today?
{Chorus}
Right now we hear a boom of choices
Selected serenely from a roomful of voices
With all due electricity
Here’s the story
Of how this moment came to be
The way is paved, but the path is rough
Are these lines too bold, or not enough?
Does it slide smoothly off the cuff
Or fly away in a cloud of fluff?
Fit the flood in fresh new frames
Which somehow fail to sound the same
Call these sensations by a name
Playing pin-the-tail language games
Currents carry waves of energy
All we know is the front of the flow
Stringing along songs of synergy
Wherever motion is able to go
{Chorus}
