Initiation
By Indi Riverflow | August 16, 2014
Take a deep breath and count from ten
Ten powder-kegs of dynamite ignite
Nine novas erupt in the night
Eight awakenings crackle in dawn
Seven sybils speak and then they are gone
{Chorus}
Having a following
Doesn’t mean you’re a great leader
Like living in a library
Doesn’t make you a great reader
There are no experts here
We’re all beginners
Start and start and start over again
I don’t even know where to begin
First was a burst of wild insight
Into intuition and off into flight
Next was a nexus of all time and space
Where I stared at the sky and saw my own face
Start and start and start over again
Trace time back through its origin
It began, it began, oh I lost count
But very long ago by all accounts
Everything happens but who knows when
So start and start and start over again
{Chorus}
Start and start and start again
For we’re still in initiation
On the wings of incantations
For dreams in generation
Spring-loaded cobras ready to dance
With any who dare to take the chance
Start and start and start over again
Pretty soon here we’ll reach the end
All my mentors and tormentors
On the edge and near the center
We meet this moment here together
And start again forever and ever
