Gremlins On Theremins
By Indi Riverflow | October 23, 2014
Like a million-dollar rockstar
Swinging that axe and looking sharp
But can you tease the untouchable harp
Gesture forth eerie arias
Worthy of unseen phantom operas
Conjure concertos from the ether
Waiting to be plucked out of thin air
Do you dare the instrument that isn’t there?
{Chorus}
Windows open on voices of wind
Stringless space
Tracing vapor’s song
There’s gremlins in the theremin
What could possibly go wrong?
And when you’re all alone
In the chaos zone of the etherphone
Where shapes of sound are shown
To be simply composed of volume and tone
Surfing sonic waves of good vibrations
On marionette strings of energy
Naked hands singing melodies
Handled with flash and sorcery
Tuning the vast sonar ocean
To the tones of lunar emotions
Listening for that perfect explosion
Of constant variation
The will that trills notes so tender
Full of unsung songs to render
When the airborne corps all surrender
And the bombs are marked return to sender
